I had not spent the night time in Santa Fe considering that 1989. So in 2012, soon after driving to South Dakota for a family members reunion, I arranged to drive back through New Mexico and expend a couple of days in Santa Fe, at the La Fonda on the Plaza hotel. While in the late 70’s I was enjoying the Tex-Mex eating places in Austin, I often stopped off in New Mexico when touring back and forth in between Texas and Los Angeles. We ate at the Cowgirl BBQ, which was excellent, but (opening in 1993) not one particular of the outdated Santa Fe restaurants. At the time, I was told that the 3 ideal restaurants in Santa Fe were the Pink Adobe, The Shed, and Josie’s. Between the 70’s and when my spouse and I stayed in Santa Fe in 1989, Josie’s moved to an additional little household a number of blocks absent. I 1st listened to that tale at UNM in 1967.
